PagePulse Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 17, 2026

The short version

PagePulse collects nothing. Refresh jobs live on your device and reload tabs by their id — the extension doesn't read your pages, except for Pro monitoring on sites where you explicitly granted it.

How it works

• Auto-refresh works by tab id: PagePulse tells Chrome "reload this tab" on your schedule. It does not read page content or URLs for this.
• The Pro monitor feature reads the text of a page after refreshing it, solely to detect changes — and only on sites where you enabled monitoring and granted permission for that specific site. Snapshots are reduced to a local hash and keyword flag; page text is never stored or transmitted.
• Your jobs and preferences are stored locally in Chrome's extension storage and never transmitted.

Data collection

PagePulse operates no servers and includes no analytics, telemetry, or tracking of any kind. Notifications are generated locally by Chrome.

Payments (Pro upgrade)

The optional Pro upgrade is processed by ExtensionPay and Stripe. ExtensionPay handles your email address and payment status; card details are handled by Stripe. PagePulse never sees or stores your payment information. See the ExtensionPay privacy policy and the Stripe privacy policy.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated effective date.
